Add FAQ entries so your AI agent can answer product and policy questions accurately.
Your AI agent is trained on general language understanding, but it does not know the specifics of your store — your return policy, your product materials, your shipping lead times, or your brand story. FAQ entries are how you give it that knowledge.
Where to add entries
Dashboard → your site → Knowledge Base → Add entry
Each entry has two fields:
- Question — the question a visitor might ask (plain text)
- Answer — the answer you want the agent to give (plain text)
Both fields are plain text. You do not need to use markdown or special formatting.

If you are on Starter and need more than 20 entries, upgrading to Growth gives you room to build out a comprehensive knowledge base.
How entries are used
When a visitor asks a question or when the agent composes a nudge, elNudge searches your knowledge base for entries relevant to that moment. The agent uses matching entries to inform its response — it does not read entries out verbatim. The answer comes back in the agent's configured tone, as part of a natural conversation.
This means:
- Well-written answers give the agent accurate material to work from.
- Poorly written or ambiguous answers may result in vague responses.
- You do not need to worry about formatting — the agent handles presentation.
Tips for writing good entries
Be specific. Generic answers like "We have great quality products" give the agent nothing useful. Specific answers like "Our leggings are made from 80% nylon, 20% spandex and are squat-proof" are far more effective.
Write as if you are talking to a customer. The agent mirrors the tone of your answers when it has low confidence. If your answers are stiff or corporate, the agent may sound the same.
Cover things the AI cannot guess from your product page. Size guides, washing instructions, ingredient sourcing, warranty terms, dispatch cut-off times, and customer support contact details are all things the AI cannot reliably infer — put them here.
One question per entry. Do not combine multiple questions into one entry. Keep each entry focused on a single topic.

Entry 1
- Question: What is your return policy?
- Answer: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. To start a return, email [email protected] with your order number.
Entry 2
- Question: How long does delivery take?
- Answer: Standard delivery takes 3–5 business days across India. Express delivery (1–2 business days) is available at checkout for an additional charge. We dispatch orders placed before 2pm on the same day.
Entry 3
- Question: Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
- Answer: Yes — all our skincare products are dermatologist-tested and free from parabens, sulphates, and artificial fragrances. If you have a specific allergy, check the ingredient list on the product page or contact us before ordering.
Entry 4
- Question: Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
- Answer: Yes, we offer bulk pricing for orders of 50 units or more. Email [email protected] with your requirements and we will send a custom quote within 24 hours.
